Fresh, distinctive and a little different from the usual motorcycle colour palette. The Limited Edition Seafoam Green ComfortCraft Nomad combines genuine short-wool sheepskin with our removable ComfortCraft foam liner for a seat pad that delivers both standout looks and additional riding comfort.
The soft Seafoam Green gives the Nomad a subtle pastel finish — somewhere between a soft green and cool aqua — making it an unusual choice without being overly bright. It’s one of those colours we don’t come across very often, which is exactly why we decided to turn it into a Limited Edition MotoCoverz run.
Each pad is individually hand-cut and sewn in our UK workshop using genuine short-wool sheepskin. The dense natural wool provides a soft layer between you and the motorcycle seat, while sheepskin's natural breathability and temperature-regulating properties help keep you comfortable through changing temperatures and longer days in the saddle.
As part of our ComfortCraft range, this version features a removable foam liner beneath the sheepskin, providing additional cushioning and support. Leave the liner fitted for maximum comfort on longer journeys, or remove it whenever you prefer the traditional feel of sheepskin alone.
The pad is finished with our soft cotton security straps, helping to keep it securely positioned on your motorcycle without the need for hard plastic buckles around the seat, frame or bodywork.
Seafoam Green forms part of our Limited Edition collection. Occasionally we find unusual colours, finishes and patterns that aren't available as part of our regular range and produce a small batch from them. Sometimes we're lucky enough to find the same colour again; sometimes we're not. Once this batch has sold out, there's no guarantee Seafoam Green will return.
Every now and then, we come across a sheepskin that’s simply too good, too unusual or too different to pass up. It might be a colour we don’t normally stock, an unusual natural finish, or a pattern that immediately makes us think, that needs to be on a motorcycle. When that happens, we buy a small quantity and turn it into a Limited Edition run of MotoCoverz seat pads.
Because these sheepskins aren’t part of our regular range, availability can be unpredictable. Sometimes we’ll be able to source the same colour again; sometimes, once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. Even when a shade returns, natural variations mean the next batch may not be exactly the same. That’s part of what makes our Limited Editions special — small batches, unusual finds and the chance to put something genuinely different on your bike.
At MotoCoverz.com, we take pride in providing high-quality sheepskin seat pads designed to enhance your comfort during every ride. While dye run is a rare occurrence—happening only once in over a thousand orders—we understand your concerns. To help you keep your seat pad in perfect condition and avoid potential dye run, please review the following tips:
How to Avoid Dye Run:
- Avoid Riding in Wet Weather: Sheepskin seat pads are most susceptible to dye run when exposed to moisture. If you find yourself riding in wet conditions, especially during heavy downpours, we recommend stopping at a safe location to remove your seat cover until the weather clears up.
- Remove the Cover When Parking: When parking, always remove the seat pad if there is any chance of rain or damp conditions.
- Be Mindful of Seat Colour Differences: If your seat is a lighter colour (white, light grey, or other light shades), be particularly cautious about the weather when using darker seat pads, such as black.
- Use a Waterproofing Spray: Apply a waterproofing spray designed for natural fibres like sheepskin. This can provide an added layer of protection against moisture, reducing the risk of dye run. Always test the spray on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it does not affect the sheepskin’s colour or texture.
- Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly check your seat pad for any signs of dye transfer or discolouration. If you notice any dye run, clean the affected area immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap to prevent staining on your seat.
- Proper Storage When Not in Use: When not in use, store your sheepskin seat pad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. This will help maintain the condition of the pad and reduce the risk of dye run over time.
For Long-Distance Riders:
For customers using our sheepskin seat pads on long tours, where comfort and prevention of a sore bottom are the only things that matter, we highly recommend opting for our undyed natural skins. These natural pads provide the same level of comfort while eliminating any concerns about dye run, no matter how regularly or intensely they are used.
Important Notice:
Please note: MotoCoverz is not responsible for any effects on gear, seats, or leathers if dye run occurs.
In the single instance we have had of dye run, the sheepskin seat pad was exposed to severe torrential rain while unattended for a prolonged period. The cover was black, placed on a light grey Alcantara seat, and had been used many times before the unfortunate incident. It's safe to say MotoCoverz and the customer came to a mutual agreement that the customer was more than happy with.
By following these guidelines, you can fully enjoy the comfort and benefits of your sheepskin seat pad while minimizing any risk of dye run. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, please get in touch with us at motocoverz@gmail.com. We’re here to help make every ride as comfortable as possible!
- MotoCoverz products are intended as a cosmetic and comfort enhancement. They are in no way performance products. Riders use MotoCoverz products at their own risk.
- Dye transfer is highly unlikely, but not impossible. Users must take reasonable care to avoid using MotoCoverz products in adverse weather conditions.
MotoCoverz are NOT responsible for replacement of effected leathers and/or gear if dye transfer does occur, or refunds or exchanges.
Limited Edition Product Image Disclaimer
As a small, one-person business, MotoCoverz occasionally offers limited-edition sheepskin seat pads in very small quantities. With some colours and variations, producing and photographing a finished example of every individual product before release simply isn't practical.
To provide the best possible representation, we may use a combination of professional photography, Adobe Photoshop, digital editing and AI-assisted image technology to create or enhance certain product images. Wherever these methods are used, we make every reasonable effort to ensure the images accurately represent the genuine colour, texture, shape and overall appearance of the product you will receive.
Our seat pads are made from genuine natural sheepskin, so wool length, texture, density, markings, shape and colour tone can naturally vary from skin to skin. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen, device and display settings.
AI and digital editing are used as visualisation tools, not to intentionally misrepresent our products. The product supplied will always be made from the genuine materials stated within the product description.
In short: the sheep are real, the sheepskin is real, and the seat pads are real — we just don't have enough hours in the day to photograph every limited-edition one.
All our products are handmade. Please allow 5 working days for your order to be dispatched. All orders are sent via a fully tracked service using Royal Mail 48.
All International orders are sent fully tracked and insured, with Royal Mail instructed to deal with the UK side and export. Once they reach the destination country, they are handed over to the destination's national postal service.
